About SBS Financial
James Schmertmann, Steve Bush, and Shane Swift began working together in 2003 at Merrill Lynch. They soon realized that by each of them sub-specializing in the areas of financial planning, portfolio management and insurance they could work as a team to offer clients a more comprehensive level of service. With that vision in mind, they left Merrill Lynch in 2008 and founded SBS Private Wealth Management. In January, 2020 the firm changed it’s name to SBS Financial.
Now with six advisors and three support staff all under one roof, SBS Financial continues to offer individuals and business owners specialized service in the areas of financial planning, investing, portfolio management, personal and corporate retirement plans, as well as personal and business insurance needs.
