WellNest Design

WellNest Design is a Calgary-based commercial interior design studio specializing in wellness, recovery, and clinical environments.

We design spaces where human physiology is the brief: hydrothermal and spa facilities, thermal bathhouses, recovery and contrast therapy suites, yoga and meditation studios, longevity clinics, and private medical practices. These are technically demanding buildings. Humidity, acoustics, circulation, lighting, and material durability carry far more weight than in conventional commercial work - and a beautiful concept that ignores them fails within two years of operation.

Our approach is evidence-based rather than decorative. Led by a WELL Accredited Professional with BAID certification and 15+ years of design experience, the studio works from established research in biophilic design, circadian lighting, neuroaesthetics, acoustic comfort, and material health. Every spatial decision connects to a measurable outcome: guest dwell time, staff retention, perceived recovery, repeat visitation, or patient comfort.

We work directly with operators, developers, and general contractors, and are comfortable slotting into an existing project team alongside architects and engineers. Engagements range from single-facility concept packages to multi-site wellness brands.
