Thackr

THACKR is a UK-based software development business specialising in custom web applications, SaaS platforms, mobile apps and internal business systems.

I work directly with businesses to understand how they operate, identify where software can remove unnecessary admin or improve processes, and then design and build practical systems around those requirements.

My core development stack includes Laravel, PHP, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, React Native and MySQL/PostgreSQL. I build everything from customer portals and booking platforms to operational dashboards, CRM-style systems, workflow tools, scheduling applications and multi-tenant SaaS products.

THACKR also provides API and systems integration, connecting existing platforms with services such as payment providers, accounting software, communications platforms, logistics systems and other third-party APIs. This includes building reliable automated workflows, webhooks, scheduled processes and data synchronisation between systems.

Projects can range from taking an initial idea through architecture, development and deployment, to improving or extending an existing application. A complete rebuild is not automatically the answer. Where a business already has working software, the focus is on understanding what exists and finding the most practical way to improve it.

Alongside client development, I have built complete SaaS products including Directive, a knowledge and compliance platform for businesses, and Patch, a booking, scheduling and payments platform for trades and service businesses.

THACKR is deliberately small and hands-on. Clients work directly with the developer building their product rather than passing requirements through layers of account managers and project teams.

Based in South Yorkshire and working with businesses across the UK, THACKR focuses on straightforward communication, maintainable software and building systems that solve genuine business problems.
