Studio Archifiction

Studio Archifiction is an architect-led architecture and interior design studio in Dhaka, founded in January 2012 and led by Architect Kazi Mohammad Alam Kaiser, Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) member K-172.

We work across three areas: office interior design, residential and apartment interior design, and building design with RAJUK drawing preparation.

Institutional and corporate work. Our clients include a2i at the ICT Tower and Daak Bhaban, UNDP and UNCDF at IDB Bhaban, the Planning Commission, the Prime Minister's Office training room, ALTIUS SGM Italia and Ek-Pay. Government and development-partner projects carry documentation, procurement and supervision requirements that most decoration firms are not set up for.

How we work. It starts with a conversation about goals, team size, culture and budget, then a site visit to measure and understand how people actually work. Concept design follows: layouts that balance collaboration and focus, lighting and acoustic strategy, storage planning, mood boards, material samples and 2D and 3D visuals.

From concept to construction we prepare technical drawings, BOQs and RAJUK-ready documents, coordinating with MEP so problems surface on paper rather than during fit-out. We value-engineer materials to meet durability and cost targets. Where you choose turnkey delivery, our site team supervises daily with checklists and milestone QA.

Office interiors. Ergonomic workstations, layered lighting, acoustic treatment and circulation planned around real workflows. We also build custom furniture: workstations, reception desks, meeting tables and storage, made to shop drawings with factory QC and guided installation.

Homes and buildings. Apartments, duplexes and villas planned around daily movement, storage, daylight and ventilation. For buildings we align architecture, services and facade with site context and local codes.

At handover you receive as-built drawings, warranties and a maintenance guide.
