Spencer Morley Consulting is an Edmonton-based consultancy running two practices: AI consulting and strategic communications.

Our small-business practice is a distinct practice, not an extension of our municipal work. We help Edmonton and Alberta small businesses — professional services, construction and trades, accounting, and manufacturing — get practical value from AI: workflow audits, an AI adoption roadmap, staff adoption and training, workflow automation for quoting, bookings, lead handling, customer service, and sales admin, and AI-search visibility so customers who ask an AI assistant for a recommendation actually hear your name. Our municipal practice serves villages, towns, counties, and municipal districts across Canada: privacy compliance under ATIA, POPA, FOIPPA and MFIPPA, AI policy built for council adoption, staff training, private LLM deployment, and resident surveys hosted on Canadian infrastructure.

Our communications practice is led by Cheryl Spencer-Morley, with 25+ years across federal, provincial, and municipal government, ICS 300 and Traumatic Event Systems training, and the Lead Crisis Communications Consultant role for the Municipality of Jasper's 2024 wildfire response.
