SESEN.AI is a specialist AI consultancy founded by Dr Berkan Sesen, who brings 15+ years of experience building and scaling AI systems across financial services and healthcare.

Prior to founding SESEN.AI, Berkan held senior roles at UBS (Head of Algorithmic Execution & AI), JP Morgan Asset Management (Senior Quantitative Portfolio Manager), and Citigroup (Algorithmic Trading Quant), where he built ML-powered investment products managing over $2B in assets and led AI trading platform development. He holds a DPhil in Artificial Intelligence from Oxford University and was a visiting researcher at Stanford.

Berkan is an active startup mentor at Techstars and AI Forge, a published researcher with peer-reviewed papers in journals including the Journal of the Royal Society Interface and PLOS ONE, and co-inventor on US patent applications for ML-based investment methodologies. He has authored chapters in Wiley Finance publications and spoken at industry events including The AI Summit, Barclays European Quant Conference, and Neudata.

Recent work includes co-founding Tinie.ai (UKABIF Innovation Award winner, BGV accelerator graduate) and co-authoring research on generative models with collaborators from UCL and the Bank of England.
