We're Pixo, a software development and digital strategy company headquartered in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. Since 1998, we've built more than 1,500 custom applications, websites, databases, and digital tools for clients across the country — all while staying deeply rooted in the Midwest region that shaped how we think about our work.

We build web applications, AI tools, CMS-powered websites, mobile applications, custom databases and dashboards, embedded device software, and digital product prototypes. Our engineers and designers work across a broad technical stack — AWS, C#, Node.js, React, WordPress, Drupal, PHP, Timber, Symfony, Docker, MySQL, TypeScript, and Python — and we choose the right combination for each client rather than pushing a one-size-fits-all platform. We also maintain apps and websites we build, as well as those built by internal teams or agencies.

Put simply, we build software that everyone can use. That's not a tagline we picked for marketing — it's the standard we hold ourselves to on every project. We believe accessibility is a responsibility, not a feature or a checkbox, so we offer dedicated WCAG 2.1, Level AA compliance services and bake inclusive design into our process from day one rather than bolting it on at the end. Whether we're designing for a researcher, a farmer, a state agency employee, or a first-time site visitor, we want the experience to work for them — fully and comfortably.
