Nathan|Kaufman Accountants and Advisors was founded in 1997 as Nathan Accounting Group. In 2012 Alan Nathan and Daniel Kaufman merged their practices and operated as Nathan Accounting Group, a traditional full-service accounting firm servicing clients primarily in Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts. Both Nathan and Kaufman had a vision to provide exceptional client service, delivery of actionable information and help their clients grow their businesses to build generational wealth.Traditional full-service accounting firms are great at telling a business owner what happened last year. A traditional accounting firm is always looking to the past. Business owners need to know that taxes are being prepared accurately, but more importantly, they need to know that they are not paying too much in taxes. There is no way to accomplish this when your accountant is a year behind.By 2021, Nathan and Kaufman had concluded that the only way to provide their clients with the services they needed was to have a laser focus on one thing and one thing only, small business owners. We understand the needs of small business owners because that is what we are. We have gone through the M & A process, we have built or accounting system to provide the information that we need to run our business, not just to assist us with governmental compliance.
