ICA Associates Inc. is a Canadian-based "social-entreprise" consulting and training firm that specializes in participatory group processes.

We consult as facilitators of participatory group processes, large and small, in any sector, with any organization that is interested in engaging people. For example:

• employee-driven organizational transformation in companies;
• grass-roots community-based strategic planning for municipalities;
• whole system changing collaboration among non-profits; and

meaningful citizen and stakeholder engagement for governments and agencies.

Basically, if you need to harness the energy that comes from real collaboration, you need experts to design and lead inclusive, participatory group processes. That is our obsession.

ICAA also trains about 1000 people per year to support them on their journey to become group process facilitators. ICAA's extensive curriculum is endorsed by by the International Association of Facilitators because we help facilitators to develop their professional competencies.

ICAA consultants are able to use any group process required for a situation. However, the Body of Knowledge known as the Technologies of Participation(TM) or ToP Methods(TM) is our specific area of expertise. ICAA is known around the world as the preeminent provider of ToP Methods(TM) training. ToP Methods(TM) grew out of grass roots community development projects all over the earth, led by the Institute of Cultural Affairs since the 1960s. In Canada, the Body of Knowledge has been continuously developed, improved, expanded, and published since the 1990s.
