Headlands Ops

Headlands Ops is an operational advisory practice based in Marin County, California, built for founder-led companies that have outgrown intuition-based operations. Founded by Andrew Erickson — 18 years of co-founding and operating companies — the practice brings hands-on operating experience directly into each engagement.

Our work follows the Headlands Operating System: a five-phase methodology that moves a company from vision clarity through diagnostic, leadership rhythm, systems and infrastructure, and milestone cadence. It's not a framework handed over in a binder. It's installed with the team, phase by phase, until the company can sustain it without us.

We are also the creator of the Ridgeline AI Operating System. Most companies have adopted AI the same way — a tool here, a chatbot there, a Slack channel nobody posts in. The team is busy with it. The company isn't running on it. Point tools don't share context, don't build institutional knowledge, and don't compound. What's missing isn't more tools. It's architecture. The Ridgeline AIOS installs AI across the entire organization as a genuine operating system — with governance, departmental deployment, and training built in from the start.
