I'm Chris Terry, and I run Encore Images San Diego. I photograph conferences, conventions, trade shows, company meetings, and brand events myself. A lot of that work is at the San Diego Convention Center and the big downtown hotels, where EAC credentialing and certificates of insurance are routine, not a scramble.

I get booked for two things most often. First is event coverage: keynotes, breakouts, the expo floor, sponsor activations, and the candid room shots that end up in next year's prospectus. Second is a staffed headshot station, set up on the show floor or inside a client's office. It moves 30+ finished headshots an hour, which is 120+ people in a half day and 240+ in a full day without a line building up.

The volume is real. McKesson's ideaShare at the convention center produced 524 headshots across two days. Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits ran 140 in a single eight-hour day. Comcast Advertising booked six California office visits covering more than 260 people.

I've been shooting for 22 years and have covered 1,100+ events. About 98% of my clients book me again.
