## About

Who we are?

Selkie was established by researchers with experience in psychology, service design and UX dating back to 2012.

What do we do?

We use our experience, knowledge and methods to help our partners take the right direction and make informed decisions when developing their products and services.

For example?

Usability testing

Verifying whether the product enables users to achieve their goals under specific conditions. This takes into account not only users' conscious expectations, but also their habits and deeper sources of behaviour.

Methods and techniques: task-based usability testing, Rapid Iterative Testing and Evaluation (RITE), structure testing, first-click testing, click tracking

Possible outcomes: erros list with prioritisation, area-based recommendations for improvement, directional recommendations for the entire product/service, conclusions on user fit.

Exploratory research

Helps validate a product or service idea by understanding the needs and problems of the audience. Through exploratory research, we determine the market and help prioritise further product development.

Methods: in-depth interview (IDI), contextual inquiry, focus research, survey research, card sorting, diary methods, shadowing

Outcomes: area- and strategy-based recommendations, development of a customer journey map, conclusions on customisation.

- Accesibility research on the needs of sight- and hearing-impaired users
- Testing the whole process
- Usability audit
- Communication audit
- Analysis of foundational data, benchmarking and inspiration review
- Desk research enriched by social listening and netnography

Tailor made research can cover different 'touch points' with the brand and even the entire service delivery process. Combining various ethnographic methods allows to capture even very unusual or complex problems

and way more.

What do you get?

Research backed knowledge that facilitates your next step, in a form that can be communicated to your stakeholders.
