Micelios is the cognitive infrastructure that renders Knowledge Quarkization fully operational. Knowledge Quarks is not one idea. It is at once a unit of measurement for critical knowledge, a protocol that decomposes and relates that knowledge, and an immutable cognitive asset whose value compounds precisely because the unit remains intact, linked, and reconstructible over time. A Knowledge Quark is the smallest coherent particle of expert criterion or evidence that can still answer questions about its source, its context, its degree of certainty, the contradictions it carries, the transformations it has undergone, and the decisions that rest upon it. These particles are never left isolated; they are joined by explicit relations—causal, temporal, normative, narrative, compositional—that convert the dispersed residue of documents, conversations, agent outputs and human judgment into a single, navigable architecture. Micelios is the living system erected upon those quarks. It functions simultaneously as knowledge graph and as process-orchestration layer. Every specialized unit—business, scientific, legal, operational or biographical—is inserted into a structured data in which capture, validation, transformation and review, whether performed by a human or by an agent, must leave a structured, timestamped, authored and source-linked trace. Workflows are not external procedures that merely consume the graph; they are designed as traversals of the graph itself. Each step is required to deposit its result as a quark or as a relation inside the same architecture. Ephemeral output is not permitted to stand in place of durable knowledge. The two multiply. Knowledge Quarkization supplies the Knowledge Quark (kq) unit, the disciplined protocol and the asset that endures. Micelios supplies the operational environment in which those assets are continuously formed, connected, governed and activated. What results is neither a document store nor a conventional knowledge base.
