## About

METECS is an engineering and applied technology company with a long history of providing high-fidelity simulation, software, robotics, and analysis to customers across a wide variety of industries, including aerospace, agriculture, energy, construction, and marketing.

METECS has developed graphics and astronaut training simulations for NASA since the early days of virtual reality. Almost every NASA astronaut has experienced our simulations as part of their training flow. We have simulations and software products that run in many NASA facilities including onboard the International Space Station.

Back on earth, we use our expertise and proprietary software to develop exceptional immersive applications. Our work has included building products for collaborative events, conferences, museum exhibits, language learning, equipment training, and procedural training. We have unique skills in integrating custom hardware into VR and AR simulations. We are familiar with the VIVE, Meta (Quest), Realwear, Apple Vision Pro devices as well as custom mobile/tablet and web applications.

More recently in 2024, METECS won a 2024 Telly award for the use of immersive 360 video in the " McDonogh 19 Historic Transformation" project. This project highlighted the school's significant role in the 1960s desegregation movement through a 360 video experience within a Quest 3 headset.
