Hi, I’m Matthew Burkert. Welcome to my website! A little about me: I was raised in Durham, North Carolina, where I went to Parkwood Elementary School. I then attended Lowes Grove Middle School. Then I went to Jordan High School here in Durham.

After I graduated high school, I went to college at East Carolina University in Greenvile, NC, where I studied criminal justice. I also received my minor in Psychology. You should try B’s BBQ if you visit Greenville! They have great BBQ. I then attended North Carolina Central University School of Law, where I received my Juris Doctor in 2012. I then took the North Carolina Bar Exam in 2013 and received my license to practice law on March 29, 2013.

I joined the Constantinou Law Group, PA, starting as a law clerk when I was in law school in 2010. After I graduated, I became an associate attorney in 2013. After working as an associate attorney for 10 years, I was able to purchase the company and the name was changed to Constantinou & Burkert Accident Injury Lawyers in April 2023, where I now serve as the managing partner. This step not only marks my professional growth but also underscores my commitment to serving the community I call home.

While not practicing law, I usually spend time with my wife, Daisy, and two kids, Meelo and Della. I enjoy the outdoors, eating, or watching sports, including the Durham Bulls, ECU Pirates, and Duke Blue Devils. I also remain an active member of my community by supporting local groups with my time and donations.
